The Caldameg™ Heating System is a patented 'smart heat pump + buffer system'. The system is specially designed for a direct replacement of the gas boiler. By applying the Caldameg™ heating system, the energy label of the house improves directly. It's an ideal addition for zero on meter projects.
The Caldameg™ Heating System consists of an efficient 4.5kW CO2 heat pump (air/water) in combination with a PCM buffer tanks of 264 litres. The CO2 heat pump is unique because of the high temperature output of 80°C. A high output temperature is necessary when you want to connect the heat pump to radiators or convectors. The existing installation in the building does not need to be fully adapted. The system is therefore ideal for renovation. Another advantage is that the CO2 heat pumps achieve better efficiency in the winter. In comparison to a traditional heat pump, a CO2 heat pump can handle much better with very cold outside temperatures. The existing installation in the house does not require modification: just replace the boiler, with Caldameg™. The CO2 heat pump for outdoor installation can be placed on flat roofs, against the façade, in the garden et cetera. Prefab in-roof constructions are available for installation on sloping roofs. The buffer tank can be easily placed on different locations inside the house. For example, the buffer tank can replace the boiler in the same location. It is also possible to adapt the shape of the buffer to the situation in the home. It is recommended that the installation is performed and maintained by an authorised installer (STEK certification is not a requirement).
